DIMOO Mood Forecast: The Bad Weather Wins

by Yuki 07 Nov 2026

Overwhelming Storm is the weather I would choose. The brown curls, zigzag mouth and oversized lightning-shaped collar make DIMOO look properly fed up, rather than simply dressed in another cute costume. Beside all that woolly texture, the smooth tan collar is almost comically sharp. It is the clearest little character in this collection for me, and it does not need a secret label to get there.

The DIMOO Mood Forecast collection has six regular vinyl-faced plush pendants and Fiery Sunset as the secret. POP MART lists them at about 13 cm tall without the hanging loop, using polyester, PVC and zinc alloy. Their most interesting difference is not simply the colour: straight, fluffy and tightly curled hair change the size of the head, while scarves, flowers and pointed collars give each weather report a different outline.

Fiery Sunset: scarlet hair, not another pastel sky

Fiery Sunset is the secret, listed at 1/72.

The swept red hair is much smoother than the regular clouds' curls, and it fills out above a body covered in longer red pile. A pale cloud-shaped collar curls across the lower face, with a dark wine-red layer spreading beneath it. Fine stitched edges keep those two cloud shapes legible against the fur. The little gold-coloured marks in the fringe are easy to miss; I like that the face is framed by more than one unbroken block of red. TOYSEZ lists this secret at 1/72.

The secret-box check: heavy does not have to mean packed solid

The Fiery Sunset reference is approximately 166-169g, the highest weight band in this box-test record. Check up/down movement first: there is a relatively large amount of travel. Then compare left/right, where movement and knocks are also recorded. The small desiccant packet is comparatively quiet. That combination of weight, available movement and quieter packet sound is more useful than choosing whichever box refuses to move.

Gloomy Overcast is the nearby heavy regular to compare: it allows only a little movement in every direction, and its medium-to-large desiccant packet sounds more obvious. Cerulean Sky and Overwhelming Storm are the other trap for a secret hunt because both feel very full. A solid box alone is not a Fiery Sunset clue. A separate front/back observation, card clue and squeeze point were not recorded for the secret, so I would not fill those gaps with a prediction. Packing and batch differences can change these references; they are not an identification guarantee.

Why this secret changes the forecast

Fiery Sunset appeals to me because it changes the surface as well as the colour. The regulars mostly spread their weather around the head or neck; here the swept fringe and rising pale collar pull everything toward the face. That makes the red feel theatrical rather than merely brighter. I would put it beside Gloomy Overcast: smooth scarlet hair against lavender curls, and a pale cloud edge against silver. It earns that pairing visually, not because rarity automatically makes it the best single pendant.

The bad-weather pair: curls with very different expressions

These are the two I would buy together. Both have busy, curled surfaces, but the silver points and purple clouds on one do something quite different from the brown curls and lightning collar on the other.

Overwhelming Storm

DIMOO Overwhelming Storm plush pendant with dense brown curls, brown eyes, zigzag mouth and a large tan lightning-shaped collar

The tightly looped brown pile makes the head almost round, with little pale strands breaking up the surface. Brown eyes sit above a tiny zigzag mouth, and the tan collar forks into broad points around the face. I like the proportions: the head looks heavy, the body stays small, and the collar refuses to disappear into the fur. My reservation is that the brown-on-brown body loses some definition from a distance. The impatient expression and flat lightning outline are what make the close view worth it.

Gloomy Overcast

DIMOO Gloomy Overcast plush pendant with lavender curls, dark blue eyes, a purple cloud ornament and metallic silver head and collar details

Lavender curls surround wide dark-blue eyes, while the bright silver collar throws two long points outward from the shoulders. A small purple cloud sits beside a silver ornament at the top of the head. This is my strongest alternative to the storm: the face is much calmer, and the reflective trim cuts through the soft colour without needing a contrasting outfit. I would keep the shoulder points visible rather than burying them against another pendant. The silver-and-purple combination is more distinctive to me than the weather name alone.

Open air: a moving scarf or a soft white cloud

Gale Warning and Radiant Rainbow are both cool-toned, but they use fur in opposite visual ways. One sweeps away from the face; the other gathers into a pale, rounded cloud.

Gale Warning

DIMOO Gale Warning plush pendant with swept blue-green fur, spiral-patterned eyes and a long pale striped scarf

Long blue-green fibres sweep across the forehead, leaving the spiral-patterned turquoise eyes peeking out below. The pale striped scarf wraps the neck and trails off to one side. That loose end matters: it makes the wind readable without a rigid prop or a printed weather symbol. This is the regular I would choose for movement in the outline rather than a rounded head. The long pile can partly cover the eyes, though, so I would check the actual fringe position in a confirmed-style photograph before choosing a particular one.

Radiant Rainbow

DIMOO Radiant Rainbow plush pendant with white cloud-like curls, pale pastel patches, bright blue eyes and a small yellow star in the hood

The name promises a rainbow, but the colour stays surprisingly restrained: mostly white curls, faint pastel patches and bright blue eyes, with a small yellow star near the fringe. I prefer that to six equally saturated colour bands. The pale body and head almost merge, making the eyes and tiny raised hands more important than the costume outline. It is the softer-looking choice beside Gale Warning's longer, directional fur. I would choose it for the cloud texture, not expect a bold rainbow that reads clearly from across a room.

The clearer forecasts: flower-green breeze and mustard sunshine

These two are easier to read as small costumes. Balmy Wind puts a light garland close to the face; Cerulean Sky gives the whole head a broad, pointed frame.

Balmy Wind

DIMOO Balmy Wind plush pendant with pale green fur, bright green eyes, small leaves on the head and a light flower garland around the neck

Pale green fur and clear green eyes are broken by a garland of light flowers outlined in gold-coloured stitching. Two little leaves rise above the rounded hair. The flowers are the useful detail here: they divide face from body without a large scarf or a stiff collar. I like the small, garden-like scale of the decoration, though it is the least dramatic silhouette in the collection. Paired with Cerulean Sky, its curved petals and cool green give the sun's broad brown points something quieter to sit beside.

Cerulean Sky

DIMOO Cerulean Sky plush pendant with mustard-yellow curls, brown sun-ray hood, cream belly and a small brown neck bow

Despite its blue-sounding English name, this is the mustard-yellow sun. Brown pointed rays spread behind the curly fringe, with a cream belly and a small brown bow below the chin. The outline works even before the face comes into focus; that is its advantage over Balmy Wind. I like the difference between the flat, stitched-looking ray edges and the tousled yellow hair. The frame is wide for the little body, so this would be my choice for one clearly shaped pendant, not an especially discreet charm.

One strong expression, or two different textures?

For one, I would choose Overwhelming Storm. The zigzag mouth and lightning collar make it more than a brown plush outfit. Gloomy Overcast is the alternative for a calmer face with a sharper metallic accent; Cerulean Sky wins if an instantly readable outline matters most. A confirmed style is the sensible route when a particular expression, fringe or collar is the reason for buying.

For a pair, I would take Storm and Overcast. The brown and lavender curls belong together without looking duplicated, and the flat tan collar contrasts with silver. For a gentler pair, Balmy Wind and Cerulean Sky put pale flowers against pointed rays. I would not buy Rainbow and Gale expecting matching textures: the difference between curled white pile and swept long fur is their main attraction.

For all six regulars, read the set option. The TOYSEZ complete-set listing distinguishes Confirmed, with all six regular designs, from Sealed, a factory-sealed six-box case with a possible secret. Fiery Sunset is not a guaranteed seventh pendant. If the red fringe and cloud collar are the only details you want, a confirmed secret avoids turning a preference for one design into a chase for the entire forecast.

Final take

Mood Forecast works best when the weather changes the texture, expression and outline together. The storm remains my first choice; the sunset adds a different surface, not an automatic upgrade. For DIMOO in a much more structured, sculpted format, compare the Flying Fantasia figure review, or browse the DIMOO series chronology and DIMOO collection.

Reference note: Official names, height and main materials follow the POP MART US listing; secret odds and set options follow the linked TOYSEZ listings. The box-test bands are approximate references, not guaranteed cutoffs. Bags, packet size, packing and batch can change the result. Compare gently only with seller permission; do not press or damage sealed boxes.
