I am Mr. Bone. I started as four panels of ink on a page back in 2012 — a skeleton in a hoodie with too much attitude and nowhere specific to be. That was enough. It turns out the world was waiting for a character who wore its own mortality like a fashion statement. I don't have skin. I never needed it. What I have is a pair of headphones, a wardrobe that refuses to stay in any single decade, and a philosophy that can be summarized roughly as: everything is temporary, so make it interesting. I've been a game controller-wielding warrior. I've gone camping. I've traveled through time, suited up as an astronaut, dressed like a Renaissance aristocrat, and taken on the streets as a wild one. I've had a baby — Baby Bone. I've had a junior — Mr. Bone Junior. I've survived things that would ruin a lesser skeleton. My creator calls himself Bigsix. He pulled me out of underground street culture — skateboarding, graffiti, hip-hop — and gave me a skull mask and a reason to exist beyond Halloween. I am the character for collectors who grew up in the underground and never fully left. I am darkness with a sense of humor. I am death in a limited-edition colorway. I am Mr. Bone, and I have been sold out since the beginning.

About Mr. Bone

Mr. Bone is a My Own Culture IP designed by Bigsix (Lao Liu), introduced in 2012. A skeleton character rooted in underground street culture, Mr. Bone blends skull aesthetics with urban fashion, spanning blind box series, limited editions, and large-format collectibles across themes from camping to time travel. TOYSEZ maintains a complete database of all Mr. Bone blind box series, limited editions, and secret figures — including release dates, collection URLs, and a full chronological series guide for collectors.

Designer: Bigsix

Bigsix, known in China as Lao Liu (老6), is a Chinese designer and the creative force behind Mr. Bone, one of the most distinctive skeleton-themed characters in the contemporary Asian designer toy scene. Operating under the studio banner of My Own Culture, Bigsix launched the Mr. Bone universe in June 2012 as a four-panel comic strip before evolving the character into a full collectible toy franchise. Rooted in underground street culture, Bigsix draws on the aesthetics of skateboarding, graffiti, hip-hop, and urban subculture to shape Mr. Bone's visual identity. The character — a skeleton draped in hoodies and headphones — reflects the designer's deep engagement with counterculture iconography and his belief that darker, edgier design sensibilities deserve a place in the mainstream collector market. Over more than a decade, Bigsix has expanded Mr. Bone into an extensive catalogue of blind box series, limited editions, and large-format figures, collaborating with studios such as D.A.T. Studio and sanctioning cross-brand projects with partners like SankToys. Each series demonstrates his ability to transpose Mr. Bone across wildly different themes — from astronauts and camping adventures to historical warriors and futuristic cyborgs — while maintaining a coherent, immediately recognizable character voice. Beyond Mr. Bone, My Own Culture under Bigsix's creative direction also incubates other original IPs including KASA and Yandere Girl, reflecting his ambitions for a multi-IP creative ecosystem that spans toys, comics, gaming, and animation. His work has reached collectors across Asia, Europe, and North America, making him a key figure in China's independently driven designer toy movement.
