Designer

J.K. Rowling (Joanne Rowling) is a British author born on July 31, 1965, in Yate, England. The idea for Harry Potter came to her during a train journey in 1990; she wrote much of the first novel while raising a child as a single mother in Edinburgh. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was published in 1997 after being rejected by multiple publishers, and the series went on to sell over 600 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling franchises in literary history.
