I am Bob — and honestly, that pretty much says it all. A farmer by spirit, a wanderer by nature, I show up in kitchens, gyms, record stores, sushi bars, and everywhere in between, always with the same unhurried calm and the same trusty mustache. My creator, a South Korean artist who goes by FARMER, started sketching me back around 2013 after years of traveling the world, soaking up reggae rhythms, Bob Ross sunsets, and the quiet Zen of just being. The mustache? It's intentional — it hides what I'm really feeling, and I like it that way. In 2020, Finding Unicorn (F.UN) brought me into the blind box world, and since then I've worn over 140 different outfits, partnered with brands from Maserati to McDonald's, and somehow become a fixture in collections across China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. I don't stress. I don't rush. Whatever the series, whatever the collab — Bob is Bob.

Designer: Jo Young Woon (FARMER)
Jo Young Woon, known professionally as FARMER, is a South Korean artist and designer who studied graphic design at Aichi Sangyo University in Japan. Drawing on his experiences traveling across cultures, he began developing the character Bob around 2013, launching the first commercial releases under the name What the Farmer in 2014. The name Bob is a deliberate homage to two cultural icons: painter Bob Ross, whose naturalistic warmth influenced the character’s approachable personality, and reggae musician Bob Marley, whose spirit of independence underpins the IP’s core philosophy. The mustache is a design element that intentionally obscures true emotion, adding philosophical ambiguity to the character’s perpetually calm expression. In 2018, Jo Young Woon partnered with Chinese art toy label Finding Unicorn (F.UN) to commercialize the IP at scale, launching the first blind box series — the Farmer Bob Boyfriend Collection — in 2020. The collaboration has since produced over 140 figure iterations and high-profile brand partnerships with Maserati, Lancôme, McDonald’s, HeyTea, and Japanese streetwear retailer Atmos. Farmer Bob has grown into a globally recognized art toy IP with a particularly strong following across China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
