About Deadpool
I am Deadpool. Wade Wilson. The Merc with a Mouth. Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld put me in New Mutants #98 in 1991 and I have not been quiet since. I heal from everything, which is convenient because everything keeps trying to kill me. I know I'm in a comic. I know I'm in a movie. I know you're reading this right now. Ryan Reynolds played me twice and then we merged into something the internet cannot stop talking about. I am now in the MCU, which I find very funny. I collect myself sometimes — the blind boxes, the figures, the limited editions. It's not weird. It's self-care.
Designer
Rob Liefeld is an American comic book artist and writer born on October 3, 1967, in Anaheim, California. He rose to prominence in the late 1980s at Marvel Comics and co-created Deadpool — the Merc with a Mouth — alongside writer Fabian Nicieza in New Mutants #98 in 1991. Liefeld's energetic, exaggerated visual style helped define the look of 1990s superhero comics, and Deadpool has since become one of Marvel's most recognisable and commercially successful characters.
