Peach Riot Sugar Mode: Cherry Poppy Gets the Best Seat

by Yuki 01 Nov 2026

Cherry Poppy gets my first vote, and it is mostly because of the seat. She crouches on a red amplifier with her knees drawn up, a long-eared red hood above a pale pink coat. The amp turns the pose into a little scene. Remove it and you still have a good outfit; keep it and you have a reason to give this figure the front of the shelf.

The Peach Riot Sugar Mode collection gives Poppy, Gigi and Frankie four regular looks each, plus a Poppy - Peach Mode secret. POP MART lists these PVC/ABS figures at 12.2-14.1 cm tall. Fruit names organize the colors, but the clothes do the interesting work: striped leg warmers, a loose school tie, a chain belt and a very unimpressed pair of crossed arms. I would choose an outfit and a pose before choosing a flavor.

Poppy - Peach Mode: the pink outfit takes up more room

Peach Riot Poppy Peach Mode secret with a pink cat-ear beanie, peach-shaped bag, pink jacket and tall white fluffy leg warmers
Poppy - Peach Mode is the secret, listed at 1/144.

The secret wears a pink cat-ear beanie over long blonde hair, a pink jacket with white fluffy cuffs, and a peach-shaped bag on a chain. A warm yellow-orange skirt sits inside a broad white-trimmed hem, above oversized white fluffy leg warmers. The peach is a small accessory rather than a costume swallowing the whole figure. I like that restraint: the fruit reference stays clear while the layered clothes remain the main event.

Peach Mode box check: short vertically, roomy across

The secret reference is 130.7g, above every regular in this set of box records. Start with up/down movement: the recorded travel is only about half a finger-width. Then check front/back and left/right; both have much more room, around two finger-widths, with contact around the upper-middle of the box. The character card is recorded as unusually thick and double-layered, with very noticeable knocks. That uneven movement pattern is more useful than simply picking a heavy box.

Apple Poppy is the heaviest regular in this comparison, but its vertical knocks are lighter at the top and stronger below; the body and accessories move together sideways. Kiwi Frankie and Coconut Poppy are other heavy regulars that feel full front to back, unlike the roomier secret reference. The useful combination is weight, short vertical travel, freer movement across the box and pronounced card contact. These are reference clues from one set of records, not a guaranteed identification method; packing can change. Compare gently only with permission, without pressing or damaging sealed boxes.

Why this secret is more than the peach bag

The white trim changes Poppy's proportions. Those huge leg warmers balance the beanie and jacket, so the figure looks deliberately bundled up rather than simply recolored pink. I would choose it for that top-heavy, fluffy outline and the little peach bag interrupting the front. I still prefer Cherry Poppy's complete seated scene as a single purchase. The secret offers a different kind of extravagance; it does not make the red amp less interesting.

Poppy: the pose matters as much as the outfit

Poppy gets the widest change of attitude here: a crouched pose, a school-uniform remix, a cool blue mini dress and a wink beside a guitar. I would compare those four before assuming another blonde figure will feel repetitive.

Poppy - Cherry Mode

Poppy Cherry Mode with a red long-eared hood, pink coat and black star trousers, seated on a red cat-face amplifier

The red hood has one long ear standing higher than the other, above black trousers marked with pale stars. Her pale pink sleeves fall between the knees while the red amp supplies a square, graphic base. This is my strongest regular because the seat changes the whole silhouette, not just the color scheme. The low pose also gives a row of standing figures somewhere for the eye to pause.

Poppy - Blueberry Mode

Poppy Blueberry Mode with blonde braids, a pink bunny sweater vest, blue patched tights and a small red case

Blonde braids end in little star shapes above a pink sweater vest, white ruffles and blue tights covered with bold patches. The red case is an excellent interruption: it stops the pink-and-blue outfit from becoming too evenly pastel. I like the loose black tie for the same reason. This is the Poppy I would choose for layered styling rather than a dramatic pose, even though blue is not the largest block of color.

Poppy - Coconut Mode

Poppy Coconut Mode in an ice-blue corset-shaped mini dress, pale leg warmers and white puffed cuffs, with sunglasses above blonde hair

The ice-blue mini dress has a corset-shaped front and a flared hem, with white puffed cuffs and sunglasses pushed up into the long blonde hair. Pale blue leg warmers end above small black shoes. This is the cleanest palette among the Poppys, and the dark shoes help give the pale outfit a bottom edge. My reservation is that it needs space beside a brighter figure; surrounded by white trim and pale bases, the dress loses some definition.

Poppy - Apple Mode

Winking Poppy Apple Mode with a red beret and top, yellow bow, green flared trousers and a red guitar beside her

A red beret and huge pale-yellow bow sit over green flared trousers, with a red guitar standing beside the leg. The wink is the detail that lifts this one above a straightforward red-and-green outfit. It gives the tilted head a more playful expression than Coconut's composed stance. I would put Apple with Cherry for a pair that still feels like a band: one figure beside an instrument, the other already sitting on the equipment.

Gigi: crossed arms, loud guitars and one sharp yellow jacket

Gigi's orange hair and green eyes hold these four looks together. The difference is in how much they compete with that face: Blackberry clears the space around it, while Guava and Sour Watermelon send bright guitar necks up beside the head.

Gigi - Blackberry Mode

Gigi Blackberry Mode with orange pigtails, crossed arms, a black ruffled outfit and pink-and-black striped stockings

The crossed arms are almost a review of the rest of the wardrobe. A black off-shoulder top and ruffled skirt make one compact shape, while pink-and-black striped stockings carry the brighter color down to the boots. I prefer this to Guava when the expression is the priority. There is no tall instrument to divide attention, and the orange pigtails look especially sharp against all that black.

Gigi - Banana Mode

Gigi Banana Mode with a yellow cropped jacket, white puffed sleeves, black star shorts, a chain belt and pink high-top shoes

The cropped yellow jacket is the obvious hook, but the black star shorts and chain belt are what stop Banana from looking like a yellow costume. White puffed sleeves give the upper body width, and pink high-tops keep the feet from disappearing below the shorts. This is the Gigi I would choose for the best balance between bright color and a readable outfit. The bare strip at the waist also keeps the layers distinct.

Gigi - Guava Mode

Gigi Guava Mode with sunglasses, a lime cropped top, bright red-pink legwear and a blue star-tipped guitar

Pink sunglasses, a lime cropped top and vivid red-pink legwear already make a loud combination; the blue star-tipped guitar adds a completely different color across it. This is the busiest Gigi, and I like it most as a deliberate contrast to Blackberry. On its own, the long diagonal instrument is more memorable than the fruit reference. I would keep the blue neck clear of the next figure rather than squeeze it into a tight row.

Gigi - Sour Watermelon Mode

Gigi Sour Watermelon Mode with spiky orange pigtails, black headphones, a loose black top and a pink angular guitar with a lime neck

Spiky orange pigtails spread outside the black headphones, above a loose black top and an angular pink guitar with a lime-green neck. The watermelon colors work as an instrument instead of a novelty hat. I prefer that solution to repeating a fruit shape on every head. Compared with Guava, the black clothing gives the guitar more space to read, making this my stronger choice if the instrument is the main attraction.

Frankie: the most convincing changes of texture and shape

Frankie's turquoise hair makes the pinks, yellows and purples unusually lively. The regulars are not simply four versions of one dress: Strawberry lifts a foot, Kiwi adds a low companion, Orange sits on a drum and Grape is posed mid-step.

Frankie - Strawberry Mode

Frankie Strawberry Mode with a seeded pink cap, strawberry-shaped bag, green-and-white ruffles and one foot raised

The seeded pink cap sits over turquoise hair, with a strawberry-shaped bag hanging low beside a raised foot. Green-and-white ruffles break up the pink around the hips and shoes. This is the clearest fruit reference in Frankie's group, but the lifted leg keeps it from becoming a straight-on outfit display. I like how the low bag balances the drink held on the other side; there is something to notice at both hands.

Frankie - Kiwi Mode

Frankie Kiwi Mode with a blue pointed hat, striped cropped top, blue skirt, yellow cuffs and a little black cat on a chain

A dark blue pointed hat with yellow tips rises above a striped cropped top and short blue skirt. The oversized blue leg warmers have bright yellow bands, while a little black cat on a chain sits beside the shoes. That low accessory changes how I would display this one: the base needs to stay visible. The striped top and yellow edging are already strong, but the cat is the detail that makes Kiwi my first Frankie.

Frankie - Orange Mode

Frankie Orange Mode seated on an orange drum, with turquoise pigtails, a white off-shoulder top and yellow-orange leg warmers

Frankie sits on an orange drum with her knees apart, a white off-shoulder top above yellow-striped sleeves and huge yellow leg warmers edged in orange. The drum's narrow pale stand makes the seated pose look lighter than Cherry Poppy's solid amp. I would pair those two for a small display of seated bandmates. The white top is a useful pause among the stripes, although the legs and drum need an unobstructed front view.

Frankie - Grape Mode

Frankie Grape Mode with turquoise hair buns, a purple checked sweater, long yellow tie, lime tights and black lace-up boots

The purple checked sweater, long yellow tie and lime tights are a more surprising combination than a head-to-toe purple outfit would be. Lavender hair buns and black lace-up boots keep the color changes going at both ends. The small yellow star-shaped bag repeats the tie without adding another large block. This is my alternative to Kiwi for the clothes alone: a slightly awkward school-uniform remix that looks more deliberate the longer I compare the colors.

Choose a scene, an outfit, or the whole wardrobe

For one figure, I would take Cherry Poppy. The red amp earns its extra space because it changes the pose. Blackberry Gigi is the sharper alternative if you want the expression and clothes to do everything without a large prop. A confirmed style makes sense when one of those exact features is the reason you are buying.

For three, I would choose Cherry Poppy, Blackberry Gigi and Kiwi Frankie. That gives each character a different shape: low and seated, upright with crossed arms, then a taller pointed hat with a small accessory at the feet. If the music props matter more, swap in Sour Watermelon Gigi and Orange Frankie for the guitar, amp and drum. Neither group needs all twelve outfits to explain itself.

For the full lineup, check the set option. The TOYSEZ complete-set listing separates Confirmed, containing all twelve regular designs, from Sealed, a factory-sealed twelve-box case with a possible secret. A case is not twelve regulars plus a guaranteed thirteenth Peach Poppy. The listed secret odds are 1/144; the confirmed secret is the direct choice if only the pink beanie and fluffy leg warmers appeal.

Final take

Sugar Mode works best when the fruit colors become real outfit decisions: pink against black stockings, a lime guitar neck, or yellow cuffs around blue leg warmers. Cherry Poppy's red amp is still the piece I would make room for first. Start with that kind of specific detail, then explore the Peach Riot collection rather than feeling obliged to collect every flavor.
