About ShinWoo

I am Baby Ghost Bear — soft on the outside, haunted on the inside. My creator ShinWoo built me as a vessel for all the feelings that don't have easy names: the ache of loneliness, the strangeness of loss, the warmth of finding someone who understands. I live in a world somewhere between a nightmare and a lullaby, surrounded by ghosts, moon light, and small impossible creatures. Since 2017, I have shown up in clinics, laboratories, candy shops, and lunar landscapes — each series a new chapter in the same quiet story. Finding Unicorn gave me a home in the blind box world, and collectors across Asia and beyond have welcomed me into theirs.

Designer

ShinWoo, also credited as Shin Woojung, is a South Korean designer toy artist best known for her character platform Baby Ghost Bear. She began her creative journey around 2017, first gaining traction with the Tooth Friends series before developing the ghost bear universe that became her signature. ShinWoo's artistic world is built on a paradox — her characters are outwardly soft and sweet, yet their narrative backdrop draws from themes of death, ghosts, loneliness, and existential companionship. She describes her work as exploring profound life philosophy propositions including love, death, loss, and companionship within a whimsical dark fantasy framework. Her prolific output through Finding Unicorn (F.UN) includes series such as Ghost at Home, Ragbear Clinic, The Lonely Moon, Lovesick Laboratory, Dreamy Land, Secret Bear Garden, Birthday Alone, and Vampire Candy Shop (2024). Her designs maintain an active secondary market on collector platforms such as Trampt, where over 162 documented works are catalogued.
