Je suis Nommi — un compagnon doux aux grands yeux, né de rêves de chaleur et d'émerveillement tranquille. Mon corps en peluche porte le poids doux d'un câlin réconfortant, et mon visage en vinyle sculpté arbore une expression calme qui ne semble jamais s'inquiéter. Créé par l'artiste Luo Jiujiu, je suis arrivé au monde à mi-2024 avec un simple souhait : être le petit ami discret qui s'assied à tes côtés les bons jours comme les difficiles. Chacune de mes séries raconte une petite histoire — de jardins, de saisons, de petits mondes magiques — et chaque personnage de ma famille porte ce même rêve de guérison douce. Je n'ai pas besoin d'en dire beaucoup. J'ai juste besoin d'être là.

Designer

Luo Jiujiu (九个玖玖) is a Chinese-born artist and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia, best known as the creative force behind the Nommi designer toy brand. With a formal background in fine art spanning traditional oil painting, illustration, and contemporary character design, Luo developed a distinctive visual language centered on childhood nostalgia, emotional warmth, and soft surrealism. Her work is characterized by pastel tones, dreamy characters, and a deeply therapeutic aesthetic that collectors describe as healing. Before launching the Nommi line, she built a dedicated following through whimsical, emotionally resonant artwork shared online. In mid-2024, Luo collaborated with HiTOY and HiChance to launch the first Nommi series, Loveliness Never Ends, introducing collectors to a cast of animal-themed characters — including TUTU the Bunny, JUJU the Pig, and BINBIN the Bear — each featuring plush bodies, sculpted vinyl faces, and movable eyes that give each figure a uniquely calm and comforting presence. Since then, the Nommi line has grown into one of China's most acclaimed independent designer toy brands, praised for its boutique approach and its emphasis on emotional connection over mass-market appeal. Luo Jiujiu continues to expand the Nommi universe through new series that reflect her signature blend of softness, storytelling, and therapeutic design.
