I was born in Hangzhou in 2022, but I did not arrive loudly. I came quietly, with a small tuft on my head that tilts and trembles whenever a feeling passes through me — it is my signal tower, the only honest thing about me. My name is ANMOO, and I was made by TNT Space to sit beside you when the world gets too loud to explain. I do not speak in grand gestures. I speak in the language of Insomnia, of Helplessness, of the way a Sunny Day can feel unbearable when something inside you is still broken. Each series I have lived through — The Perfect World, Listen Attentively, The World Is A Lying Fairy Tale — has been an attempt to name what we do not have words for. My figures are small enough to hold in a palm, but the weight they carry is not small. TNT Space gave me a form; the people who collect me gave me a reason to exist. I have traveled to toy fairs across Asia and found my way into homes in Europe and North America. I do not ask to be understood completely. I only ask to be kept close.
