Laura is a ToyCity IP designed by Da Tian, introduced in 2020. A fashion-forward, romantically styled character, Laura has grown into one of China's most recognized blind box IPs. Designer: Da Tian

Da Tian is a Chinese artist and the creator of Laura, the debut flagship IP of ToyCity (玩具城市). Working under a pen name, Da Tian developed the Laura character to embody a sense of romantic, stylish femininity — a character designed to feel like a real friend rather than a static collectible. Since Laura's launch with ToyCity in 2020, Da Tian has overseen the character's expansion across dozens of series, collaborating with the ToyCity team to develop blind box, BJD, and space capsule product lines. The designer drew personal emotional experiences into specific series — notably the Laura Phone Congee (电话粥) variant, inspired by long-distance relationship themes. In June 2021, Da Tian held a public signing event in Shanghai (Huaihai Road, Huashi Plaza X11), marking one of the first major public appearances tied to the Laura IP. The Laura character has since become one of the most recognized IPs in the Chinese designer toy market, known for its consistent fashion-forward visual language and emotional resonance.
