I am Pucky — named after a mischievous sprite, built from the space between a fairy tale and a nightmare, and entirely comfortable there. I have pointed ears, wide eyes, and I exist in that particular threshold where cute tips into uncanny. I am a baby, but I have seen things. I am innocent, but I carry secrets. My creator named me after Puck — Shakespeare's trickster of the forest — because I am exactly that: something that crosses between worlds and feels at home in neither and both. I first appeared in 2018 as a Pool Baby, then as a Forest Fairy, then a Circus performer, then a Space explorer. Each series is a new world I wander into wearing something adorable, bringing all my contradictions with me. I am the soft thing with sharp edges. The sweet face with ancient eyes. My designer grew up between Hong Kong and Canada, and I think I carry that duality too — I am never entirely one thing. I am the child who was raised on fairy tales and understood, immediately, that the forest is dangerous and beautiful at once. Collect me if you appreciate beauty that doesn't pretend to be simple.

Pucky, whose legal name is Chan Wai Kei, is a Hong Kong-based freelance artist and illustrator best known for creating the fairy-elf characters that became one of Pop Mart's most beloved IPs. With a childhood divided between Hong Kong and Canada, she grew up navigating two cultures, an experience that shaped her ongoing creative exploration of identity, belonging, and the tension between opposites. She graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver in 2008 before returning to Hong Kong, where she established her own studio and brand. Her work merges the cute with the dark, presenting integrated harmonies where good and evil, love and fear, and fantasy and reality coexist naturally. She cites history, science, and the wonders and mysteries of the world as deep sources of inspiration. The name "Pucky" is derived from Puck, the mischievous sprite in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, symbolizing the convergence of fantasy and the real world. Pop Mart entered an exclusive licensing agreement with Pucky in 2017, launching the debut Pucky Pool Babies blind box series in 2018. Since then, the IP has expanded into dozens of series including Forest Fairies, Circus Babies, Flying Babies, and Space Babies, earning a devoted global collector following.
