Hallo — ich bin Pino Jelly. Ich bin weich, ich bin süß, und ich bestehe aus dem gleichen Stoff wie dein Lieblingsgummibärchen — außer dass ich Gefühle habe. Viele davon. Meine Schöpferin Yumi gab mir einen runden Körper, eine bonbonbunte Garderobe und die emotionale Bandbreite von jemandem, der alles von reiner Freude bis zur vollständigen Überwältigung vor dem Frühstück erlebt hat. Sie studierte Animation an der Communication University of China und goss all ihre Liebe für Comics direkt in mich. Ich kam im September 2021 mit einer Debütserie namens "Your Boy" an — nur ein Junge, der auftaucht, bereit zu existieren. Seitdem habe ich die Welt durch Aromen und Essen erkundet, zwölf meiner komplexesten Gefühle kartiert, einen Persönlichkeitstest gemacht, Wünsche geäußert und einem Stern nachgejagt. Ich bin gummiartig. Ich bin ein Junge. Ich tue an den meisten Tagen mein Bestes. Und ich werde nie aufhören, süß zu sein.

Designer

Yumi is a Chinese designer and in-house artist at Pop Mart's Pop Design Center (PDC), where she graduated with a degree in animation from the Communication University of China. A self-described fan of cartoons and comics, she is part of the post-1995 generation of Chinese creatives who have shaped a new wave of domestic art toy IP. Her most celebrated creation, Pino Jelly, made its debut in September 2021 with the Your Boy Series, introducing a soft, candy-inspired gummy boy character whose rounded silhouette and vibrant palette immediately resonated with young collectors. Inspired by colorful gummy candies and everyday boyish charm, Yumi designed Pino Jelly to capture a spectrum of human emotions through playful innocence — a design philosophy most vividly realized in the 2022 How Are You Feeling Today Series, which mapped twelve emotional states from fear to naughtiness onto the character's expressive form. Under her direction, Pino Jelly has grown into one of Pop Mart's most consistently active domestic IPs, expanding across thematic collections that explore food, personality, music, and life milestones. Milestones include the global Delicious Worldwide Series in 2022, the star-making Star Project Series in 2024, and the highly anticipated Sweet Like Me Series and I'm Your Doll Blind Box Series in 2025–2026. Yumi's work demonstrates a rare ability to evolve a character's visual world while preserving the warmth and sweetness that define Pino Jelly's enduring appeal.
