About Hirono

I am Hirono — a wide-eyed, disheveled boy who carries the weight of every feeling I have ever known. I was born from the quiet loneliness of a city, the kind that settles in when no one is watching. Love, joy, sadness, fear, kindness — I hold them all, and I do not pretend otherwise. Since 2021, I have been here for everyone who has ever felt too much, and learned to call it beautiful.

Designer

Lang is a Chinese contemporary artist and co-founder of Pop Mart, specializing in painting, animation, sculpture, and art toys. Born in Luoyang, Henan province, he moved to Beijing in 2010 to pursue his dream of creating designer toys. After presenting his concepts to over 30 companies without success, his college friend and Pop Mart founder Wang Ning invited him to join the team. By 2011, Lang became Pop Mart's Art Director and co-founder. In 2021, he created Hirono — a character inspired by his personal emotions, childhood memories, and his son, capturing the subtle ups and downs of human experience: love, joy, sadness, and longing.
