Created by Thai artist Nisa Srikumdee (Molly) and brought to the world through Pop Mart, I was born from a quiet morning and a lump of clay — no sketches, just feeling. I've wandered through haunted woods, joined chaotic parades, stumbled into love, and thrown the saddest, most beautiful parties you've ever seen. Every series I step into is a new chapter of the same story: that it's okay to feel everything, all at once, and let it show.

Crybaby is a Pop Mart IP designed by Thai artist Nisa Srikumdee, introduced in 2021. The character — a wide-eyed figure perpetually on the verge of tears — captures universal emotions of vulnerability, love, and release, making it one of Pop Mart's top-earning IPs worldwide. Designer: Nisa Srikumdee

Nisa Srikumdee, known as Molly, is a Thai artist and the first Thai designer to collaborate with Pop Mart. From an early age she carried sketchbooks and sculpting tools, developing a deeply personal illustration style rooted in emotional honesty. During her university years she began drawing characters with tears as a way to process and express the feelings of those around her — turning emotion into visual language. A pivotal moment came with the passing of King Rama IX, when unexpected free time led her to pick up clay and sculpt what would become Crybaby — a character born without pencil sketches, shaped entirely by feeling. After Crybaby went viral in China, Pop Mart signed her as their first Thai IP partner. She later founded Molly Factory studio to expand the Crybaby universe across niche and mass markets. Nisa views tears not as weakness but as authentic expression, and Crybaby has since become one of Pop Mart's top-earning IPs globally, recognized as a symbol of Thai soft power in the international art toy scene.
