I am Barbie. Ruth Handler created me in 1959, named me after her daughter, and gave me a career before most people thought that was something a doll should have. I have been an astronaut, a surgeon, a president, a paleontologist, an architect, and a fashion designer. I have been blonde and brunette and every color in between. I have lived in a Dreamhouse and driven a pink car and done it all in heels. Over sixty years later, a film with Margot Robbie reminded the whole world why I exist: not to be perfect, but to show that you can be anything. Pop Mart's Style Icon Series captures something of that — small, deliberate, dressed with intention.
